Get a $50 Visa Gift Card For Holiday Inn Stays: If you stay three nights or more at a Holiday Inn Resort, you can get a $50 Visa Gift card via the Hold On To Summer promotion from IHG. You must first register for the promotion online and then book a stay of three nights or more at any participating Holiday Inn Resort. You have to register and stay by October 31, 2014. A digital $50 Visa gift card will be issued 2-4 weeks after your stay, (or a physical gift card will be issued after 4-6 weeks for IHG members who do not have a valid email address on file). Get an extra 600 bonus Southwest Rapid Rewards points for Choice Hotel stays

1,200 Southwest Rewards Points For Choice Hotel Stays: Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards members can earn 1,200 points for stays at participating Choice Hotel properties. The bonus is technically 600 points + the base earnings of 600 points for a total of 1,200. You can earn these points for stays at participating Choice Hotel properties in U.S., Canada, Europe (excluding Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden), the Middle East, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. The promotion is valid through November 15, 2014.

Reminder: Alaska Air 40% Buy Miles Bonus: Alaska Airlines is running a Buy Miles promotion through October 14, 2014, where you can buy miles with up to a 40% bonus. It’s a tiered bonus, and the amounts are as follows:

  • Buy 5,000 – 19,000 miles, get a 20% Bonus
  • Buy 20,000 – 34,000 miles, get a 30% Bonus
  • Buy 35,000 – 40,000 miles, get a 40% Bonus

You’d need to purchase between 35,000 to 40,000 miles in order to obtain the full 40% bonus. Each set of 1,000 miles costs $27.50 plus a 7.5% Federal Tax, so buying the full amount would total $1,182.50 for 56,000 miles (40,000 miles plus the 16,000 mile bonus), coming out to 2.1 cents per mile.

Second Night 50% Off at Hyatt China Properties: Hyatt is offering 50% off second night stays for all mainland China Hyatt properties. The promotion is valid for reservations made by October 31, 2014 for stays between September 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014. A discount of up to 50% off the Hyatt Daily Rate applies to every second night of bookings of two consecutive nights, so if your total booking is six nights, you will receive 50% off the rate on the 2nd, 4th and 6th nights. American Airlines Fares No Longer Available On Orbitz: As of August 26, 2014, American Airlines fares have been withdrawn from Orbitz, and US Airways fares will be withdrawn starting September 1, 2014. All tickets previously purchased on these airlines via Orbitz remain valid, and availability on other online travel agencies will not be affected. Of course, you can purchase tickets on these airlines respective websites. *Update American and Orbitz have reached an agreement and you can now book on Orbitz again.*
