Since 2013, discounted couture shopping portal Gilt and Delta Air Lines have partnered to offer SkyMiles for purchases on the Gilt and Gilt City websites. Their first joint promotion is an exclusive sale of up to 57% off first-class flights to/from Austin (AUS) and Los Angeles (LAX) or New York City (JFK), with each flight purchase earning 500 bonus SkyMiles.

This promotionstarts on Thursday, July 10 at 10 am ET only at www.giltcity.com/national/deltaairlines and will last until July 20 or until inventory runs out. The promotion isn't valid on any Gilt Groupe or Gilt City apps. Flights must be booked by July 20, 2014 and travel completed by March 1, 2015.

Delta and Gilt are offering a joint promotion on discounted first-class fares to/from AUS and LAX or JFK.

The above full first-class, F-class fares are listed on a Gilt City page dedicated to the promotion and viewable only by Gilt members. A search on Delta.com for first-class fares for these itineraries between August 8-27, 2014 and September 3-October 20, 2014 turned up much lower prices on average in fare class G - albeit still more expensive than the fares offered in this promotion. The screenshot below shows one example of a $320 one-way, G-class fare, AUS-LAX, on Friday, August 8:

Blackout dates are August 28 through September 2, 2014, November 20–30, 2014, and December 18, 2014 through January 4, 2015.

Gilt's Partnership with Delta

Gilt is free to join with either a name and password or via Facebook, and offers discounts on designer merchandise, furniture, and more. Through the Gilt and Delta partnership, SkyMiles members get 1,000 bonus miles for their first Gilt purchase of $50 or more, and every Gilt purchase earns 1 SkyMile per dollar spent (Medallion members earn 2 miles for every dollar spent). These miles are non-transferable.

Note that Gilt has had similar partnership in the past with United and Hilton, but these promotions are no longer valid.
