Saturday Recap: Delta Launches International WiFi, Double Alaska Miles Between Seattle/London, Bonus Points On Best Western Stays And More

Delta Launches International WiFi On 747-400 Aircraft: Delta is launching international WiFi service on flights 283 and 295 from LAX and ATL to Tokyo Narita aboard Boeing 747-400 aircraft . Introductory pricing options include one-hour passes for laptops at $14 and mobile users at $8, or a flight pass option for the entire flight starting at $24.95 for laptop users and $14.95 for mobile users. All of Delta's 747-400 aircraft will have WiFi installed by mid 2014 and by the end of 2015, Delta will have WiFi installed on its entire international fleet.
Earn Double Miles Flying To London On Alaska: Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members flying British Airways nonstop service between Seattle and London can earn double miles on travel through June 15, 2014. In order to get the miles, you must register your Mileage Plan number prior to your first qualifying flight, and travel must be between March 24- June 15, 2014. Qualifying fare classes include: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, O, Q, R, S, T, V, W, or Y. This offer is not valid on free or award travel. Double miles will not count towards Mileage Plan elite status.
EL AL Updating Their Business/First Class Seats: EL AL is redesigning their premium class seats for flights to/from New York on their 747-400 planes launching this summer. Changes include enlarging the pitch between rows and upgrading to "Bed Like" seats in business class, and in first class the seats will be redesigned and reupholstered in a faux leather fabric, complete with a minibar.
10,000 Bonus Miles For SAS With Economist Subscription: You can get up to 10,000 bonus miles on SAS when subscribing to the Economist magazine. The full 10,000 are given for a one year print and digital subscription, 7,500 for just print for one year, and 7,500 for just digital for one year. Normally the bonus is only 3,500 bonus points for the print and digital and 2,500 for just one of the two, so this is a great promotion. The offer is valid if you subscribe by April 30, 2014.
Earn 2,000 Aeroplan Miles Per Stay At Best Western: Best Western is offering 2,000 Aeroplan miles per qualified stay instead of the usual 250 miles when you stay from April 1- August 31, 2014. Really, they are offering a 1,750 mile bonus in addition to the regular 250. A qualified stay is considered one night or more at participating hotels.
