Now through November 30, the hotel booking site Rocketmiles is offering 3,000 bonus miles to users who make their first mobile booking.

Rocketmiles is a hotel search engine and booking app you can sign up for here that works with a few premium hotel partners in several US cities to offer customers who book rooms bonus miles with Air France/KLM, Alaska, American Airlines, Delta, Etihad, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue, United, US Airways and Virgin America.

To qualify for the 3,000 bonus miles, you must book by 11:59PM CT on November 30, 2013. Only new bookings made on mobile devices qualify for this bonus and there is a limit of one bonus per customer. The terms also specifically prohibit you from canceling an existing booking and rebooking the same reservation to get the bonus.

Though the webpage says “make your first mobile booking,” there’s nothing in the terms that say it has to be your first ever mobile booking with Rocketmiles, so it looks like you should get credit on the first booking you make through the promo link as long as it’s on your mobile device.

Rocketmiles can be a lucrative way to rack up bonus miles on reservations where you wouldn’t normally be earning hotel points or status (and it can be worth it even if you are staying at a chain where you’d normally earn points/status because you’re earning so many more bonus miles), so do the math for yourself, compare your points/miles earning as well as the nightly rates, to see if booking through this promo makes sense for you instead of booking directly with a hotel or an OTA.
