Alaska Airlines Fall Flight Sale Offers: As a recap from earlier this week, Alaska Airlines is having a fall flight sale where you can book one-way award tickets for as little as 7,500 miles plus taxes. You must book travel from now through October 31. 2013, for a number of destinations both domestically and internationally, such as to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. While the US locations are mainly on the West coast thanks to Alaska’s route map, Boise, Idaho and Las Vegas are also included in the list. These likely won’t give you the maximum value for Alaska miles, but they can be a decent deal- especially for last minute travel when ticket prices are high.
Earn 2,014 Bonus Points with Wyndham: Wyndham is launching a new promotional offer, where you can earn 2,014 bonus points, starting on your 2nd stay through your 6th stay meaning you’ll have an opportunity to earn a total of 10,070 points. To qualify for this offer, you must book two stays between October 15, 2013 and January 31, 2014 and stay by February 3, 2014. To put this in perspective, a free night at a Tier 3 property only requires 10,000 points, so if you were to stay six times in this period, you would then earn a free night at any Tier 3 property.
1,000 Hyatt Points for Avis Rentals: Earn 1,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points using coupon code MUHA067 on qualifying rentals of at least 2 days now through December 31, 2013. Use AWD K817700 or try other codes like corporate, AAA, and Costco to try to find better rates. The Points Guy Assessment: The Chase Sapphire Preferred is a great pick for the beginner and the frequent traveler. The CSP has superb travel benefits, double points on certain purchases, and a 50,000 point sign up bonus. The $95 annual fee is waived the first year so this puts it as one of the less expensive cards, while still allowing you to earn one of the most valuable point currencies.
