I've been using Delta's mobile check-in for a while now at LGA and BOS and its saved me on more than one occasion where I didn't have time to print a boarding pass and I showed up to the airport with less than 30 minutes to takeoff. Its a win from the airline's perspective as well, because it reduces the bottleneck at check-in and dependence upon staff members.

United is also trying to encourage mobile boarding passes, by offering a one-time 1,000 point bonus from now until December 31, 2010.
