Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel. Additionally, keep in mind that discounted partner fares may not earn miles with US-based carriers.
Qatar Airways is offering discounted fares from New York (JFK) to Dubai (DXB) for departures in May. You can fly with a stop in Doha each way for just $577 round-trip. You’ll have the chance to fly on one of the newest planes in the sky, as the New York to Doha flight is operated by Qatar’s new A350 aircraft.
Additionally, if South Africa’s been on your travel bucket list, Qatar’s also offering discounted fares from New York (JFK) to Johannesburg (JNB). The New York to Doha flight will be operated by the A350, while the Doha to Johannesburg flight will be operated by the airline’s 787-8. Note that the economy seats on the 787-8 have a width of 17.2″ which is a bit narrower than the 18″ width found on the A350. To find your flights, run a search on Google Flights to pick your dates then head to Qatar’s site to book.
