Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel.
If you’re still looking for Black Friday and Cyber Monday flights to book after the great deals from Air Berlin, Air New Zealand and Singapore this week, there’s still a chance to book — this time with more flights to Asia. Until December 4, Cathay Pacific is offering up to 50% off economy-class flights to destinations in Asia. Flights are available from all of the airline’s US gateways, including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and more.
Flights are advertised as starting at $664 round-trip to Hong Kong, but you can pay a bit more for flights to other destinations in Asia, like Bangkok, Manila and Tokyo. All of the flights advertised for this deal are under $800 round-trip. Travel dates must occur between February 9 and April 30, 2016, or between September 1 and 30, 2016. Cathay is also offering a 1,000 AsiaMiles bonus for each booking during the sale. If this deal doesn’t work for you, you can always book an award flight on Cathay through a Oneworld partner, such as American Airlines — and perhaps even fly in first class.
