Wyndham doesn’t exactly have the most rewarding loyalty program, so it’s nice to see the chain working to make stays more appealing for frequent travelers — this time through a partnership with American Airlines.
As part of the promotion, you’ll earn 3,000 bonus AA miles for each qualified stay, up to a total of 15,000 miles. Your stay must begin between December 1, 2015 and February 29, 2016. Additionally, you’ll need to register on Wyndham’s site before travel and opt to earn AAdvantage miles instead of Wyndham points in your profile.
With more than 7,500 hotels worldwide, there are plenty of opportunities to earn bonus AA miles. Most properties are participating, excluding Super 8 hotels in China. Allow six to eight weeks for the bonus miles to post to your AAdvantage account.
You can also boost your account with the Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard, which is currently offering 50,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 within the first three months. That’s enough for a one-way business-class award ticket to Europe or parts of Asia, as long as you book prior to the AA devaluation in March.
