Due to sky-high parking rates and an excellent public transportation network, most Manhattan residents don’t own a car. And that’s great, until you need to venture far beyond the city limits. Unfortunately, renting a car in Manhattan can be a huge, expensive hassle, and with inconsistent vehicle maintenance on-demand services like Zipcar are far from ideal. So today’s announcement from Silvercar is certainly welcome news.

As of this week, you can now rent a Silvercar in Manhattan! Officially, rentals are only available through the end of 2015, though I wouldn’t be surprised to see them extended if this limited-time launch is a success. Silvercar was available in Brooklyn this summer, and has since moved to 600 W. 42nd Street, which is located next to the Lincoln Tunnel. As always, each rental includes an Audi A4 with in-car Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and Sirius Radio.

You can earn a $25 credit on your first rental by entering referral code: BKELLY1.

To rent a Silvercar in NYC, you can make a reservation online or through the Android or iOS apps. Then, 15 minutes before you’re ready to pick up, tap a button in the app to alert the Silvercar team. The car will be waiting for you when you arrive, at which point you can scan the QR code on the dash to unlock the car and simply drive away. Rates run from $79 per day for weekday rentals to $129 per day on the weekend, plus tax. Be sure to link your account with a credit card that offers primary rental car coverage, such as Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Silvercar is also available in Austin (AUS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DAL and DFW), Denver (DEN), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Phoenix (PHX) and San Francisco (SFO).
