Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to travel.

It’s been a few weeks since our last deal alert for Hawaii-bound flights, but low rates are back today for flights originating across the US. You’ll find these fares on American and United, with prices starting at $488 from most other origin cities.

Two of the lowest priced fares we found to Honolulu (HNL) originate in Portland (PDX) and Seattle (SEA), and start at $398 nonstop on Hawaiian Airlines. United is offering most of the discounted flights from other parts of the country, including Dallas (DFW), Miami (MIA) and Philadelphia (PHL). These flights start at about $488, and almost all of them include a short layover. American also has some deals for as low as $488, such as Chicago (ORD) to Honolulu (HNL). Note that these fares aren’t limited to the cities listed above — you should find similarly priced flights from several additional cities.
