China Southern Launches Daily Routes Between JFK and Guangzhou
On June 23, 2015 through September 11, 2015, China Southern will offer 10 nonstop flights each week between New York-JFK and Guangzhou. Daily flights will depart from JFK’s Terminal 4 at 11:15am and arrive in Guangzhou at 3pm the next day. An additional three flights per week will also be offered on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, departing at 1:45am from JFK and arriving at 5:45am the following morning.
Avis Offers Four-Hour Rentals for $19.99
Avis is offering four-hour rentals starting at $19.99. You can also pick up and drop off your car at two different locations, making it easy to get between the airport and your destination. The terms explain that the offer is valid for one-way rentals only, and is valid only on Groups B, C, E, F and V. Renters under 25 may incur additional surcharges, and this offer is subject to blackout dates. Also note the following:
- When traveling from an airport to downtown area, pickup must occur on a Thursday or Friday.
- When traveling from a downtown area to an airport, pickup must occur on a Sunday or Monday.

New Swiss Property Joins Marriott’s Autograph Collection
Swiss property The Hotel in Lucerne will join Marriott’s Autograph Collection on July 8, 2015. The hotel is rather small, with just 30 rooms/suites, and is known as a design landmark in Lucerne.

Uber Partners with It Gets Better Project
To celebrate Pride weekend in San Francisco, Uber has partnered with the It Gets Better Project to gather inspiring stories from riders and drivers. Certain cars in San Francisco will be equipped with video cameras and notecards so you can help spread the project’s message of hope to LGBT youth. To participate, open your Uber app at the following times:
- Friday, June 26 from 5-9 pm
- Saturday, June 27 from 2-7 pm
- Sunday, June 28 from 2-7 pm
