Reminder — Increased bonuses for Ink cards end June 1: The current offers of 60,000 points for the Chase Ink Bold and Ink Plus cards are slated to end tomorrow. Chase hasn’t specified a time, so if you’re planning to apply, do it today. 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points can get you a round trip flight to Europe on United, two nights in a top tier Hyatt property, or myriad other tantalizing redemption options.
Reminder — Week Three Daily Getaway Deals Start June 2: This week the Daily Getaways offers for June 2-6 will be unveiled daily at 1 pm EDT, and will be available to any US resident age 18 or older to purchase throughout the promotion period until the limited inventory is sold out. All of the Daily Getaways have the added benefit that you can receive an additional 10% off for purchasing with an Amex card. This week’s deals include points packages for Hyatt and IHG, hotel stays at Omni and Loews, and Las Vegas hotel packages.
The bonus amounts are as follows:
- Purchase 10,000-19,000 miles, get a 50% bonus
- Purchase 20,000-29,000 miles, get a 75% bonus
- Purchase 30,000-50,000 miles, get a 100% bonus
You can purchase a maximum of 50,000 miles. This is an excellent opportunity, especially if you choose to purchase all 50,000 miles, as the cost is lowered to about 1.88 cents per mile. Miles normally cost 3.5 cents each, plus a 7.5% tax.
Bonus Aeroplan Miles with Starwood Award Stays: Earn 750 bonus Aeroplan miles on any reward stay at a Starwood hotel or resort when you redeem for a reward stay between June 1 and July 31, 2014. Additionally, Aeroplan Distinction members receive the current Distinction redemption bonus of 500 bonus miles for dSilver and 750 bonus miles for dBlack and dDiamond. Bonus miles will be deposited four to six weeks your stay is completed.
Earn Double Flying Returns Miles on Air India for flights to Italy: To celebrate the launch of new flights from Delhi to Rome or Milan, you can earn double miles on these routes from June 1-July 31, 2014. Each flight is operated once daily.
Canada to Allow Electronic Devices During all Flight Stages: The Canadian government says they will now allow portable electronic devices to be switched on during all flight stages. Devices allowed include cameras, electronic gaming devices, e-readers, tablets and computers. These devices can be turned on during ALL flight stages, though connecting to WiFi (during certain stages) or making phone calls is still not allowed.
Get La Quinta Returns Bonus Points for Watching Videos: If you watch one of the three La Quinta short videos, you can earn 300 bonus points. You may be able to get the points without even watching the videos by clicking here to enter your membership number and last name. You have until June 30, 2014 to get the bonus points, and you can only participate once.
Earn 5x US Airways Miles & Get 30% Off For Avis Rentals: US Airways Dividend Miles members can earn 5x the US Airways miles for Avis rentals of one day or more at participating Avis airport locations in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico (excluding Alaska). Just enter the code “MUAA048” in the box marked “Coupon” and provide your Dividend Miles number at the time of reservation or at the rental counter to earn your bonus miles. You can also save up to 30% off by using the code “K024334”. This number should be entered into the AWD number box. Reserve by July 15, 2014.
New Marriott Rewards Members Earn Free Night: Join Marriott Rewards and earn one free night after two stays. You must complete your two stays during your “earning period”, which starts the day you enroll and lasts through the end of that month plus an additional 120 days. The promotion is valid for new members joining the program on or after November 13, 2013. Even after the introduction of the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the Chase Sapphire Preferred is still a fantastic choice if you want to avoid the Reserve’s $450 annual fee, earn 2x on all travel & dining and earn a 50,000 point sign up bonus.
