Last week I received word from a contact at Marriott that there will be a great deal coming out on Cyber Monday that will include discounted rates at over 350 participating Marriott hotels. While I don’t have the full details just yet, check back on Friday to see exactly what this sale entails.

Since most of you will be enjoying time with family tomorrow, I wanted to announce this week’s giveaway today, which will award two lucky winners with $500 Marriott gift cards. These gift cards can be used at check out to cover the cost of a stay, unique dining experience, relaxing massage or even a round of golf at select properties.

For a chance to win a $500 gift card, I want to hear what Marriott property you would like to visit. Depending on what properties will be included in the Cyber Monday sale you may be able to book a hotel at a fantastically discounted rate and use the gift card to knock the price down even further.

There are two ways to enter this contest:

1) Comment on this post with your Marriott destination of choice and who you would like to go with.

2) Post a picture of your preferred Marriott property on Instagram using the hashtag #TPGMarriott and telling us where the hotel is.

You can submit one entry via each method and you can only win one of the gift cards. If you enter the contest on Instagram make sure to use #TPGMarriott and also follow@thepointsguy, or else your submission will not be valid. You must enter by 5pm EST on Sunday, December 1, 2013, and we will announce the winners (who will be chosen at random) next week.

The Winner Of Last Week’s Thursday Giveaway – 25,000 Skywards Miles

Last week’s giveaway was inspired by my recent Emirates First Class flight from Dubai to New York which was incredible. Since a broken WiFi connection prevented me from giving away Skywards miles in flight, I included them in our Thursday Giveaway instead.

For a chance to win 25,000 miles all you had to do was follow me on Twitter and tweet me @thepointsguy using the hashtags #AmexEmirates and #MembershipRewards telling me your international Emirate’s destination of choice. Emirates has a really expansive international route map so there were quite a few options to choose from and I was excited to see what you all came up with.

After choosing a winner at random Anita Bah @imnotarunner will be receiving the 25,000 Skywards miles!

@thepointsguy I’d go to go Sydney! Long flights are fun when it’s luxurious. I want to try Emirates so bad! #AmexEmirates #MembershipRewards

Surprisingly enough, I have yet to venture over to Australia and would love to fly Emirates there as well. Thank you to all who entered and congratulations to our winner – good luck entering this week’s contest!
