Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! I hope your travel plans took you to visit friends and loved ones this Turkey Day. My own plans include a whirlwind weekend trip to Paris with friends where I’ll be checking out the newly reopened Prince De Galles hotel, a Starwood Luxury Collection property, so get ready for a review of that – and of course eating my face off, though it might not include turkey!

Stay tuned for my review of the gorgeously restored Prince de Galles.

Then be sure to check the site bright and early tomorrow morning because we’ve got a huge roundup of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday travel deals out there – and there are some amazing savings to be had and wonderful places to visit.

So enjoy your day, eat your fill, and may we all give thanks for the wonderful people, experiences and opportunities we’ve been given. Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you aren’t flying Lufthansa. We are in Paris now on our honeymoon and have return tickets booked on Lufthansa booked via Air Canada via Amex points transfer. Well, sounds like the French are on strike and all Lufthansa flights out of CDG from Friday through Sunday are cancelled.

Lufthansa wouldn’t help since we booked through Aeroplan, and they are not offering any relief, so we had to be rebooked on the only award availability remaining (in business). We are being rerouted through Zurich on Air Canada on Saturday, cutting our honeymoon short by a day. Is there anything I can do?

Those greedy Lufthansa execs are planning to outsource all ground operations at CDG to a third-party provider. I suggest you join the boycott and buy a one-way ticket home from CDG on another airline.
