US Airways 100% Share Miles Bonus Ends Tuesday: Last week, US Airways launched their 100% share miles bonus that runs now through Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Through the promo, Members may receive a maximum of 50,000 bonus miles during the offer period, but you can send as many miles as you’d like to other accounts and each is eligible to earn up to 50,000 bonus miles. There is no need to register as you will receive the 100% bonus miles automatically when you go to the Share Miles page. With this promo the cost drops to just about 1.1 cents per new mile created via the bonus, since you are paying the share miles costs and fees, but generating twice the miles. Be sure to take advantage of this before the offer ends on Tuesday if you plan on doing so.

United is offering a 25% discount on purchased United miles.
United is offering a 25% discount on purchased United miles.

25% Discount on Purchased United Miles: Now through December 31, 2013, United is offering a 25% discount on purchased miles. That breaks down to 2.82 cents per mile. You can buy up to 100,000 miles for yourself or for others per account per calendar year. Miles normally cost 3.5 cents each, so while there is a 25% discount, I still wouldn’t consider this an amazing deal nor would I buy United miles without a specific redemption in mind. However, it might make sense for you to buy them to top up an account if you don’t have any Chase Ultimate Rewards points, which instantly transfer 1:1 to United.

40% Discount at Sofitel Hotels: Sofitel Hotels, a member of Accor Hotels, is currently offering a sale of 40% off your next hotel stay. To partake in this offer, you must head over to this site where you must book by October 14th for stays from November 18th, 2013 through March 31st, 2014. Le Club members will receive triple bonus points, through this offer. In the US, some notable Sofitel properties include the Sofitel MiamiSofitel San Francisco BaySofitel Chicago Water Tower, and the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
