This is just a friendly reminder that you only have until 5pm ET tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, to enter my “Share Your Travel Insipiration” Thursday Giveaway contest for your chance to win 50,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points. That’s more than enough for two nights at top Hyatt properties around the world (they’re only 22,000 points a night for a standard room) or 10 nights at a category 1 property. Check out this chart for a full list of Hyatt free night redemptions.

What inspires you to travel?

What inspires you to travel?

To enter, make a 15-second video on your travel inspirations. It can be a collage of pictures or simply you talking to the camera. You don’t necessarily need to be in the video, but it should succinctly encapsulate what gets you excited to travel. The TPG editorial team will vote and select a winner that inspires us the most and depending on the entry, we may even throw in some runner up prizes for other entries. As always, we want to have fun with this and hope you do too!

There are two entry methods, but you can only submit one video in the comments of the original contest post.

1) Instagram: Upload the video to your free Instagram account, follow ThePointsGuy and hastag your video #TPGTravelInspiration. Instagram makes it super easy to record video right from your smartphone and even include multiple mini-segments (which I now do when I board an aircraft!). Check out this page for InstaVideo FAQ. Make sure you follow me on Instagram @thepointsguy, because if your account is private I won’t be able to view the video.

2) YouTube or Vine: If you don’t have Instagram, you can record your video and upload it to sites like YouTube or Vine and include the link in the comments of the original post. The preferred method would be to upload for free to YouTube and include a link, but I’ll watch any video that plays properly.

Just posted mine! Even if I don’t win, at least my video will give everyone a good laugh! :)

World is an open classroom and travel is an education that one cannot get in institutions. Travel–new places, new people, new culture, new food–is life.

agree with first post- way too complicated

Brian, I hope you will extend the entry deadline until about 9pm. I do have a video ready to lock and load, but I’m in EFFIN CHINA, where the government won’t let us access FB, Vine, and so on. (the point of travel is not to complain about paranoid Communists, but I digress.)

Anyway, we’ll be back in LA by 8pm or so Tuesday evening. Can I get an amen on posting then?
