Amazing Deal Alert- Hawaii to Paris As Low As $661 Total Roundtrip on United

in Mileage Runs, United

Per JakeRyan1 on Flyertalk, United has some amazing fares from Hawaii to Paris good for travel this fall and next spring. I priced out a Honolulu to Paris (via Newark/Dulles/Houston to maximize the miles) for $665, which nets 18,031 Elite Qualifying Miles, so a total of 3.7 cents per mile- pretty awesome. Unfortunately these fares don’t work in the other direction (Paris- Hawaii- Paris is over double the price) and I checked other European destinations and none come close to these prices. If you find any other deals, please comment below!

I’ve been searching on United.com and other Hawaiian islands work as well. To search flexible dates go to United.com -> Flexible search and then it will pull in fares by month so you can see when the cheapies are available.

Maui to CDG = $661
Kona to CDG = $661

I’d recommend booking these ASAP. United will also let you pay to hold the fare for 72 hours ($6.99) or 7 days ($8.99). I don’t imagine these fares will last very long, so I’d jump on them sooner than later!

Check out this post for maximizing your airfare purchases so you can earn even more points for buying these fares smartly!

Positioning to Hawaii may be tough, but there are a few cheap ex-US hawaii fares lately. This would make a nice 3-4 day MR, a week long if you can stopover in Hawaii for a day before going on Hawaii-Paris.both ways.

Yea or use a “free” AA oneway award if you live in an AA hub city and can take on Hawaii legs http://thepointsguy.com/2011/06/maximizing-stopovers-transfers-and-open-jaw-ticketing-on-american-airlines-awards/

That’s very true. Didn’t think about that. Live on East coast so easy to do but don’t have any trips to Europe. Thanks for the suggestion.

So how would this work living is Los Angeles?

  • thepointsguy

Lets say you redeem miles lax-lhr roundtrip for 100k miles in business class- aa will allow you to add on a hawaii to lax business class flight before your first lax-lhr flight and then a lax-hawaii leg after you return from london as long as los angeles is the city where you leave the US

    Fare is now $1,403.

I just tried it and looks like that fare is gone from the United website.

    PHX-Paris 4 days for $661
A lot of availability in Feb and other months.

  • Lark

Sorry, but this fare only gets me 661 PQD’s…

I’d be 3/4 of the way to Silver on PQM’s.

But only 20% of they way to the required PQD’s.

2013 is the last year of Mileage Running as we know it (on DL and UA at least).

I found flights from Minneapolis to Paris on Expedia with United and Air Canada for $621. That is easily the lowest I’ve seen it in a long time.
