As I reported yesterday, JetBlue is discounting last-minute flights from New York City this week up to 80% as part of a marketing campaign called Flight Week. Every day they will be announcing three cities that are up to 80% off the base fare for limited, last minute dates of travel. Today’s options are: Bermuda, Portland, Oregon, and Grand Cayman.
Here are the details on each:
Bermuda: Use promo code JFKBDA80, and depart 1/31-2/1 or 2/3 and return 2/3-4 or 2/7.
Grand Cayman: Use promo code JFKGCM80 and depart 1/31-2/1 or 2/3-4 and return 2/4, 2/7 or 2/11
Portland: Use promo code JFKPDX80 and depart 1/31-2/1 or 2/3-4 and return 2/3-4, 2/7-8 or 2/10-11
I did a quick search just to test out fares and checked availability for a last-minute trip to Grand Cayman (which I love and used to go to on vacation with my family every year when I was a kid) and found flights departing this Thursday (1/31) and returning on Monday (2/4) that would normally cost $546 for just $191.55!
Another sample itinerary to Bermuda next week came up at just $134 instead of $346.
To search these fares, go here and then click the “Let’s Go” button and then enter the promo code (located in the image above below each city pair) on the flight search page.
Though these fares are for last-minute travel, if you have a little scheduling flexibility, you should think about taking advantage of them since fares to the Caribbean especially are sky-high this time of year and this could be a great way to get a little sun in the coming weeks or to take a jaunt out to the west coast. Availability is very limited – though the discounted fares were still showing on all the days available for each city pair when I was looking – so if you’re considering it, better to book sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s featured destinations.
