Act Now: Enroll Your Amex Cards in Small Business Saturday!

Enrollment is open for Small Business Saturday, which is a promotion where Amex will give you a $25 statement credit for shopping at at many participating small businesses on Saturday November 24, 2012.

Enroll ALL of your American Express cards here (the more cards you have enrolled, the more $25 statement credits you can get)

Then find an eligible small business here.
 Last year I went to a local bar (naturally) and got an email about my statement credit while I was on my way home, so this is not a promotion you’ll have to chase Amex to honor as long as you shop/dine at a participating vendor.

Registration will likely close today, so don’t delay and get all of your cards registered before its too late!

    I tried registering multiple accounts with same name (different numbers) online and it gave an error – one per person…. To get around this I called 866-515-4134 and had to listen to a long disclaimer per card. I was able to enroll all my cards except one

    Last year I don’t believe it was restricted to the businesses that appeared on the Small Business map-any small biz that accepted AMEX was eligible.
    This year it’s restricted?
    I ask bc most of the local, independent restaurants and shops in my neighborhood don’t appear on the map.

    Do you know if Amex is ok with multi card sign ups for this event? I have 10 accts between me and my wife…I’ve read elsewhere they frown upon people loading up on this cash back opp….thank you

    My 4 personal cards are now registered…is it bad that the first two places I’ll stop are the liquor stores I frequent just around the corner from me?

    There’s no frowning – each unique AmEx card # that is registered can take advantage of this promo.

    Last year I was able to use my credit for an online charge from a small business. Do you know if the online restriction is specific to 2012 or was in place last year as well?

    Keep in mind that AmEx Corporate cards are not eligible for this offer.

    Any advice for someone with 4 AMEX cards who will be out of the country on Saturday? Outside of having a trusted friend buy a few things for me with my cards on Saturday while I’m out of town?

    I have an AMEX card plus 3 authorized users. Will I receive the $25 statement credit in only one of them, or if it is possible to get it in all 4 cards?

    I called local small restaurants and asked to buy a gift card that I would come pick up when I get back in town. Some places mailed them. It worked for me.
