Chase Sapphire Preferred Changes You Shouldn’t Worry About

There’s some buzz in the blogosphere about the Chase Sapphire Preferred card offer changing on Monday due to an email Chase sent to affiliates. Through a little bit of digging, my understanding is that the sign-up bonus will not be changing, but the change that is happening will be positive. That being said, things can change last minute, but I would personally hold off until Monday if you’ve been thinking about getting the card, which is one of my personal favorites. Until then, have a great weekend! I know I will be enjoying some quality time home after a busy past month of travel.

    Well, it could be something completely unrelated to the sign up bonus, like introducing an EMV chip and starting a new marketing campaign emphasizing it.

    It works- just make sure you are logged out of your Amex account or use a different browser

    Dont worry- you may be able to call and have the new feature/promo/whatever added to your account. Chase has great customer service

    I wonder if this language on chasesapphire.com is any indication of what is to come, or whether it is just some generic marketing language someone came up with:

    First it says “Seize the weeknight. Make eating out an enjoyment opportunity any night of the week.” That makes sense as all dining gets double points.

    But then it says “Reclaim the weekend. Enjoy Saturday and Sunday. Because what you do this weekend could be very rewarding”

    The language is oddly specific yet also vague at the same time. I guess we shall see next week.
