Crappy Flight Wins Worst Vacation Story Contest Giveaway

The winner of TPG’s  Worst Vacation Story Contest is: Crappy Flight!

Turns out ending your vacation by having to endure several hours trapped on a plane with a toddler leaking all manner of foul liquids is pretty bad – for everyone involved! TPG was so impressed by the participation of readers that he agreed to award a surprise 5,000 American Express Membership Reward points to the second-place finisher, Jellyfish Jam, whose story was about a paralyzing reaction after snorkeling through jellyfish larvae.

I will be in touch to get all the necessary information to mail out the Carnival Destiny prize pack (and maybe a couple extra diapers?) to Crappy Flight as well as sending the 10,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to the Chase transfer partner of this brave mom’s choice. Ultimate Rewards transfer partners include: United, British Airways, Southwest, Korean Air, Hyatt, Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, Priority Club and Amtrak.

Thanks to everyone who entered the contest – we had a lot of fun with this one! Travel isn’t always seamless, but it’s nice to be able to look back with  humor and have a good laugh.     Thanks so much! I never expected my experience would get such a strong reaction. So many of the other stories had me cringing. I guess it just goes to show that if you travel enough eventually you’ll have one of those days, too. Looking forward to all the cool SWAG and enough BA miles for a RT flight BWI-ORD. I’ll be the one with kids wrapped in triple-ply Hefty bags!
