From now until August 2, 2012 you can get a $50 MasterCard gift card for each 2 night stay between Monday and Thursday at IHG Hotels (Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, etc) up to $200 total. This promo is in addition to any other IHG promos, so if you have any weekday 2+ night stays, you might as well snag these gift cards. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to fill out paperwork and send it in- something I often forget to do.

2. Book a qualifying stay at any hotel in the IHG Family of Brands between April 16, 2012, and August 2, 2012

Eligibility: Registration for promotion is required in advance of stay.  Registration can be completed at www.ihg.com/get50. Valid email address is required for registration. Must register on or after April 9, 2012 and book and stay at any IHG brand hotel worldwide on or after April 16, 2012 through August 2, 2012. Registration must take place prior to the booking the stay. IHG brands are InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Express by Holiday InnTM, Holiday Inn Club Vacations®, Holiday Inn Resorts, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites®. Open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who have attained the age of majority in the jurisdiction of their residence.

A stay is defined as two consecutive weekday nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in/out. A stay is qualified when paying qualifying rates, which include most business and leisure rates. Qualifying Room Rates do not include the following reduced room rates: net wholesale individual and group rate, certain package rates, employee discount rate, friends and family rate, crew rate, special discounted contract rates, seasonal worker/crew rate, 50% travel club discount rate, travel industry discount rate, distressed passenger rate, Priority Club Rewards Nights/Airline Hotel Reward rate, Best Price Guarantee Free Reward rate, complimentary hotel stays and any other rates not defined as a Qualifying Room Rate. Also excluded are opaque rates and “name your own price” rates (where hotel name, location and/or rate not visible until after booking is submitted). Guests of an InterContinental Alliance Resort (The Venetian or The Palazzo) must book their qualifying reservation through IHG channels (brand websites, call centers, and GDS) to become eligible, and such guests who book in any other way, including directly with The Venetian or The Palazzo or any other hotel, will be ineligible.

Rebate: One $50 rebate ($50 Travel Bonus Prepaid MasterCard) will be awarded on a qualifying minimum two-night weekday stay booked on or after April 16, 2012 at participating InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express® and Express by Holiday Inn™, Holiday Inn Club Vacations®, Holiday Inn Resorts, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites® hotels for U.S. resident stays worldwide between April 16, 2012 – August 2, 2012. Up to four qualified rebates awarded per household for stays during the promotional period. Limit one (1) rebate per qualifying rebate redemption form per weekday period.

Rebate documents required: 1)  Copy of Registration confirmation,  2) Hotel folio (bill) and 3) Rebate redemption form which can be found at www.ihgrebate.comLink will open in new browser window. along with copies of the other required documents as stated above to the address shown on the rebate redemption form. Rebate redemption form must be postmarked no later than September 1, 2012.  Any rebate redemption form postmarked after September 1, 2012 will not be honored.

The Travel Bonus Prepaid MasterCard has no cash value and is not redeemable for cash or usable at any ATM. Terms and Conditions apply to the prepaid card and will be received with the prepaid MasterCard card. Subject to applicable law, a monthly maintenance fee of $3 (USD) applies, but is waived for the first six months after the card is issued. The card is issued by MetaBankTM pursuant to license by MasterCard International Incorporated.  MasterCard is a registered trademark of MasterCard International Incorporated. Cards can be used wherever Debit MasterCard cards are accepted. Reward will be returned to the name and address designated on the required rebate form (U.S. addresses only) and will be fulfilled in U.S. dollars via a prepaid MasterCard card. Claims postmarked after applicable dates, incomplete or illegible submissions, counterfeit copies of forms or receipts, and duplicate submissions will be rejected. IHG is not responsible for loss of rebate forms or rewards due to lost or misdirected mail or for illegible entries. Good for actual purchases by end users only; excludes resellers and distributors of products and their families. Limit one reward per person, receipt, household, family or address per qualifying weekday stay. Maximum four (4) rewards per household during the promotion.     This is such a hassle. I stayed 4 consecutive weekday nights, Mon – Thur. I submitted all required documents, and my request for the reward came back as: invalid. When I made an inquiry, the first response was: That I did not stay at a participating hotel…which I did. Then via chat…the agent said I did not submit the correct documents, which I did. Then after I exhausted all of her excuses….she said I needed to send in my request again to a Resubmission Dept. Now 6 weeks later, I have not received my 2 $50 cards. Via chat again with an agent, the first response to where are my cards: You did not stay at a participating hotel. I said, Please, don’t start this again. Then again, after further review, they tell me yes, your rebate has been approved and you will reccive your $50 rebate in 4-6 weeks. The way I read the offer, 2 consecutive nights at the same hotel….I stayed Saturday thru Saturday….which covers the Monday thru Thursday requirement. In the same conversation I asked, “If I only stayed Mon & Tues, would I get $50?” He said yes, so I said, if I stayed Wed and Thur only would I get $50, he said, yes. That sounds like to me I would then have 2 rebates coming. The response: Mark: A stay is defined as two consecutive weekday nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at the same hotel. This means for Monday through Friday you will only receive $50.00 not $100.00
    What a JOKE! You think I’ll ever get my $50 even. What a waste of my time. I will never stay at an IHG hotel again.
