A couple weeks ago I wrote about Hilton’s easy scavenger hunts in Washington DC, Chicago, London and Istanbul. Scores of TPG readers simply showed up at Hilton properties to claim their free night certificate – which is good at any Hilton property worldwide.

This Friday, the contest continues in San Francisco and it looks really easy – simply tweet Hilton and show up at the Hilton Union Square at or before 4pm Pacific Time to claim your free night. Be sure to report back with your success – I love hearing that TPG readers scored a nice percentage of these free nights!

Details:

When: Free Night certificates will begin to be handed out from 4-6pm PDT or to the first 75 people who successfully arrive and show proof of the completed task, whichever comes first. Please note that people can arrive early to wait and ensure their spot.

Where: Hilton San Francisco Union Square at 333 O’Farrell Street

Task:
1.       Tweet your “Travel Wish”, mention @HiltonHHonors, and which @HiltonWorldwide property you want to visit to use your #HHfreenight. EX: “My travel wish is to visit the @WaldorfAstoria Rome Cavalieri! @HiltonHHonors #HHfreenight #SanFran”

2.       Find the Hilton HHonors staff at the @HiltonSFUnionSq @ 4pm PDT to show proof of your “Travel Wish” tweet & @HiltonHHonors & #HHfreenight mentions on either your mobile phone or a print-out

3.       The first 75 people to find us in person at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square (@HiltonSFUnionSq) and show us their “Travel Wish” tweet could win a Free Night!

For those who went, was it obvious where to go within the hotel to find the line? Or is it a literal scavenger hunt and you need to figure out where to go. Thanks!

“3. The first 75 people to find us in person at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square (@HiltonSFUnionSq) and show us their “Travel Wish” tweet >>>could<<< win a Free Night!"

I'm confused. Do the first 75 get vouchers or do they get entered into some drawing where they *could* win a free night?

Folks, I am here at the hotel right now ! The event is taking place at the urban tavern room inside through the main entrance, to the LEFT, near the Starbucks.

Thanks to TPG, I was able to get one of these yesterday. We started lining up about at about 3pm and had to wait in line for an hour. They provided refreshments and food. Fantastic deal

It was a giant line (think soup kitchen). A bunch of tweeters looking at their iPhones, standing in line waiting for their rations of free Hilton nights. I was #74 of 75. Waldorf Astoria here I come!

  • Coly787

I’m late to post, but big thanks to TPG for helping me secure the free night!

Someone had to be number 76…and that was me! I was pissed. My wife laughed. But its all good.
