$20 Mastercard Giftcard for Spending $200

I love a good triple dip, so this holiday season – don’t simply earn your credit card points and shopping portal points for your online purchases – but also earn an additional $20 back when you use a Mastercard.
Simply register here and then spend $200 online between November 15 and December 31, 2011. You’ll then receive an email confirming your qualification and instructions on how to get your MasterCard gift card or other gifts. “Limited time, limited quantity. Promotion Open to US Residents Only.”

Mastercard just tweeted this yesterday, so I assume quantities are not an issue and everyone who registers will be eligible to get the gift card.

If you need a Mastercard, one of the best deals out there is the Citi Thank You Premier card with 50,000 ThankYou points (Update: bonus has been reduced to 30,000 points) when you spend $2,500 within three months. Those points can’t be transferred to any airlines or hotels, but they can be redeemed for travel- $633 worth or giftcards- $500.

    The Quad Dip – Toys R Us has $25 off an order of $150 if you use your Mastercard

    And the Quint Dip – some of us with the Barclays US Air Mastercard have gotten spending bonus offers for the season. Mine was 5,000 miles after spending $1K between 11/25/11 and 1/31/12. Another I saw on FT was $50 statement credit after spending $500 by 12/31/11.

    If possible, don’t use a Chase Mastercard — people on a certain message board, including myself, complained that no redemption email arrived after making purchase(s) on 11/15/11 and using Chase was one thing we had in common. Other people reported Citi cards worked.

    I used the Chase Ink Bold card on 11/18 for a Paypal transaction and 11/23 Costco.com, both transactions were over $200. I received the redemption email on 11/25 although I don’t know whether they considered the Paypal transaction or not.

    This was first announed on the main MC website 2 weeks ago or so. You will get an email about 1 week after the spending and get the gift card a few days later. I just got mine in the mail yesterday.

    No redemption email for me either, used my Bold cards on 11/16… is there a phone number we can call?

    You’re actually lucky if you get one of the 10,000 consolation prizes after they run out of $20 gift cards. The T&C say these are magazine subscriptions worth $35.88!

    plus, Citibank’s quarterly offer is an extra 4% back on department, clothing, electronics or toy stores (including online)! quad dip for me!

    No phone number that I know of, but can send email: https://holiday.mastercard.com/contact.php

    Make sure you state in your initial email that “the online MasterCard card purchase(s) you made were eligible in accordance with the Terms & Conditions available at mastercard.com/holiday” – it will save you one back and forth with the support people.

    Has anyone attempted registering then making an AMZ Payment “Purchase” (selecting “Goods/Services” option) and still receiving MC email confirmation?

    Thanks for the heads up. Paid $200 of my car insurance online with my Mastercard and received an email a few days later saying that my $20 gift card is on its way. Awesome!
