Double Delta Miles to the Caribbean and Latin America

Delta just announced double miles on select flights to the Caribbean and Latin America. These are not Medallion Qualifying Miles so they won’t help with elite status, but extra miles are always welcome.

Register here by November 1st, then book your ticket and complete your travel between September 15 and November 15, 2011, to earn your double flown bonus miles.

    This may be a dumb question, but do I have to book the ticket FROM one of those listed cities? Or am I able to collect the double miles just connecting through them? I’m based in PIT, and I may have a trip to EZE coming up for work early next year, and I’d undoubtedly connect through ATL. Would I be able to take advantage of the double miles on at least the ATL-EZE segment?

    For those of us already platinum (who get double flown miles as is) does this double again? I couldn’t find an answer in the fine print — has anyone encountered this before?

    I believe the promo will just add-on (vs multiplying), as in giving you an additional 100% bonus for this promo.

    I qualified for a DL (Exclusive Rewards) promo in the 2nd quarter, which gives a 75% bonus on all flights from Jul-Dec 2011. All my flights since July earn 275% of flown miles:
    - 100% standard miles
    - 100% (Gold/Plat) bonus miles
    - 75% promo bonus miles

    If I fly any of these Caribbean or Detroit/Hong Kong promo segments, then I’ll earn 375% miles.

    Yes Cora, you will see it in your point breakdown on your sign in breakdown. Ex. Our Delta Atl -PUJ flight this past weekend, the points broke down as 1343 base miles & Mqm’s//1343 Platinum 100% bonus// 1343 Double offer Atl miles// 1007-75% bonus for an earlier offer from May. We received 5036 miles each way for the roundtrip in coach.// If we had booked at Excellence Resort and gone thru the vacation club, we would have received another 2500 miles each, but it was for a five day stay instead of four, plus cx costs a fee.
