500 Free Aeroplan Miles with Fairmont Email Sign-up

by on September 21, 2011 · 11 comments

in Aeroplan, Air Canada, Free Miles/ Points

If you don’t currently have an Air Canada Aeroplan account, you should get one right now (link). They are a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards and after Continental leaves the program starting October 1, 2011, they will most likely become the premier partner when redeeming Star Alliance awards. They are also transfer partners of Starwood and from time to time they run promotions encouraging hotel transfers.

While they just increased the amount of miles needed for most awards this summer, there are still some great deals, like 90,000 miles for business class US to Western Europe (plus they have very flexible routing rules).

Another reason to sign-up is that Fairmont is currently offering 500 free Aeroplan miles when you sign-up for their frequent guest program and include PASHN in the enrollment code box. Also, be sure to add Aeroplan to your profile and indicate you want Aeroplan miles for all of your stays – just click on the + box where it says Airline Partner Programs on the registration form towards the top.

Make sure to enter PASHN in the enrollment box

If you are already a Fairmont President’s Club member simply, “opt-in for communications, and add Promotion Code: PASSION in your profile. Make sure to add your Aeroplan Number to your Fairmont President’s Club Profile and select “Aeroplan” as your earning preference in your profile.”

This offer expires September 30, 2011 so don’t put it off. This isn’t the biggest promotion ever, but every mile counts (and all the better if they are free)!

It looks like 500miles/stay, instead of sign-up?

Does it mean that I can transfer the 500 miles to Amex Premier Rewards?

  • Anonymous

No- miles can never be transferred into Amex points, however you can transfer Amex to aeroplan to top up your account to get an award

Is it only AEROPLAN MILES that one can get with the Fairmont signup? There appears to be other options of airlines, but I didn’t know if that was just for future stays and whether you would still get the 500 say AA points instead.

  • Worldtraveller2

yes it is only for Air Canada’s AEROPLAN miles of 500!

“No stay required. Member must enroll with Enrollment Code PASHN or update profile with Promotion Code PASSION and opt-in for communications by September 30, 2011″

    1) Does this mean even existing Aeroplan members can get the 500 bonus miles simply for updating their profiles with the “PASSION” promo code?

    2) Aeroplan charges hefty taxes and surcharges for redeeming reward tickets, not sure if it’s only when you redeem with Air Canada flights or Star Alliance partners as well, any idea?

  • Anonymous

    1) Yes- simply update and change your earning preference to Aeroplan
    2) Fees are much less for star alliance partners

Sorry, I can answer my own questions, from the link here:
