And the Winner of Dine With TPG is …

Kris who was the only reader to choose Adour by Alain Ducasse at the St. Regis.

“I’m going with Adour because it’s one of the 3 listed as ‘Top Class’… TPG strikes me as the type to enjoy ‘the finer things’ in life :) ”

Well, I do certainly like the finer things in life, but I chose Adour primarily because I can also earn Starwood Preferred Guest points for the dine! My name is The Points Guy after-all and I love a good triple dip. I’ll get my British Airways points for using my BA Visa, the $50 statement credit for the Michelin promo and then Starwood points since the St. Regis is a Starwood hotel and they allow you to earn points for dines, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel. But wait – there’s also a second winner.

Sally Lee a.k.a editorladySally tweeted me with an offer I couldn’t refuse:

How could I turn that down, especially since Sally is the editor of Ladies Home Journal?!

    I just did the tasting menu at Adour two weeks ago – was excellent, I highly recommend trying the gnocchi as an app or the seaurchin pasta and the roast chicken entree.

    Brian – how do you get the SPG points if you pay with the BA Visa? Do you have to submit it to SPG for points or something?

    All you do is email Starwood the receipt and they’ll automatically deposit points in your account for the dine

    My family used to go there when it was L’Espinasse way back. You’ll like. Good service, good food. I took Ieva to Adour during Restaurant Week last winter to thank her for an eVIP I used to Paris.

    But of the extended restaurant week deals this summer – try Le Cirque. Great service, great room, excellent food (and they put out for the Restaurant Week menu) and it’s iDine! One tip – know that a drink will easily cost the same as the meal.

    Log out of your amex account or use a different browser. The 30k offer is still valid, but if your account shows logged into Amex, for some reason it only shows 10

    Just took my Mom to Adour at the St. Regis in DC for her birthday – great experience. Sure you’ll love it!

    You can also take the receipt to the front desk and they will manually enter the SPG points.
