American Express -> British Airways 50% Transfer Bonus Still Live

Update: Deal now dead.

In case you missed out on transferring your Membership Rewards points to British Airways, the bonus is still active, even though it was supposed to end today.

The transfer ratio is still coded at 50%, so you will get confirmation of the bonus before you transfer- little risk involved in my opinion

I’m sure it will be taken down at some point, but get in soon if you want the bonus. In general, I think this is a great deal.

    Confirmed to work as of 2am this morning!
    It wasn’t showing the “Bonus” offer, but it still said 1,500 BA miles for every 1,000 MR.
    I had another 10,000 points posted to my account for spending since I transferred my bulk over 2 weeks ago, so I transferred it last night. Checked Award Wallet today and my BA account is “+15,000 miles” as expected!

    Just successfully transferred 75k points into 112.5k BA miles for my second transfer of the promotional period.

    Still active as of 11 am Pacific — transferred 90K and got 135K instantly deposited into my BA account!

    i transferred last 6 K out of American MR to make BA total 112,500 which possibly will be used for 9 one way equivalent of coast to coast AA flights. Hope it is a smart move.
    One weird event: An target offer came into my address from AMEX Platinum to invite a NON existing person with SAME last name for a bonus offer of 100K with spend at 1000 within first three months of membership. HOWEVER 450 fee NOT waived. Also came in on the same day were two AMEX BLUE SKY inviting another 2 NON EXISTING first names ( right last name) with 26K blue sky points ; 500 spend/3months.
    IS it worthwhile to step into the AMEX PLATINUM invite and pay $450 for 100K MR points and all other goodies. They let me have Amex blue sky card when i used the RSVP number that came in for the name on AMEX Platinum . would appreciate your thoughts

    100k Amex points for $450 is an amazing deal. Any chance your last name is Kelly? :-) I’d buy a million (or more) Amex points at that rate.

    Plus you get all the benefits of platinum like the $200 airline credit so it’s a no brainer in my opinion!

    Transferred 101,000 (mostly from Plat bonus) MR pts ->151,500 BA Miles. Add that to the 100,000 BA miles I got from the Chase card, and a bit of spending, and now I’m at 255,000 BA Miles, without having ever boarded a BA plane! Now I just need to somehow get to 30,000 spend in a year and I can score 2x first class tix to Europe for me and my wife!

    Did anyone besides me just get the 50% off ANY BA flight award (not first class) email?

    Did anyone who got it ALSO do the +50% Amex transfer? If so, you are lucky, lucky, lucky!!!

    I should have 100K Amex points soon, my main FF account is AA. I was wondering if you think this BA 50% Transfer bonus will ever be back?

    I have no idea. My guess is that it will be 20-40% again before we see 50%, but you never know!
