You can apply for multiple Amex apps. I got Platinum in March and Premier rewards this month with no problems. Will probably get SPG at 30k as well before thats up Aug 22 since right now I only have Amex charge cards (SPG is credit card)

I had no issues. I got Platinum in April and Premier Rewards in August. Amex knows people want multiple products- I use Platinum for international and Premier Rewards for all domestic. The more property Amex has in your wallet, the better for them

Exactly. Amex issues both credit cards (SPG and Delta cards for example) and then their own charge cards. You can have multiple credit and charge cards. So in essence, you should have no problem at all having both a Premier Rewards and SPG card. Just make sure you pay your Premier Rewards balance off in full each month.

so in the past year i’ve done chase BA, chase sapphire, chase CO, amex plat, citi AA visa & amex, and now amex PRG. what should i keep and cancel?

If i got the premier rewards card last year and cancelled earlier this year, will i be able to sign up for it again and get the 75k sign up bonus plus all these other points on offer?

Its not too late to sign up for the card- I just activated my card yesterday and called today to confirm the promotions and everything was good to go. Theres always a risk things won’t work out as planned, but considering there is no annual fee and a guaranteed 15k bonus plus its an overall good card- the downside isn’t terrible.

Second call, got a wonderful woman from AZ who enrolled me easily and even made some small talk as things processed. She said that I’d have to call 6-8 weeks after every 15th purchase of the billing cycle and she notated my account.

You can try but they I doubt they’d be able to confirm a bonus for an account that doesn’t exist. Also, these signup bonuses are for new cards- not upgraded accounts, thats why you have to apply through a link and be logged out of your Amex account.

Honestly, I know its a little scary, but sometimes you just need to take risks- the potential payday is well worth it in my opinion.

Following your great insight, I recently got an AMEX Platinum and a Chase Sapphire Preferred. I’m applying for a Hyatt Visa, which I’ll probably only use for Hyatt stays (unless they run some promos). I’m evaluating a credit card stategy for every day use. I want to maximize AMEX points (primarily for transfers to Delta SkyMiles) and Chase Points for transfers to Hyatt.

I like the idea of getting the AMEX Gold (particularly with the bonuses and the double/ triple points on spending), but then I’m having wondering why I should have the Platinum and its $450 fee.

Drop Platinum and use Sapphire Pref for intl use. Unless you really need the perks, Premier Rewards is much better for every day earning.

They are two separate offers. One is to get you to sign up for the card and one is to incentivize you to use it once you have it. Don’t feel bad- trust me, Amex is making money off of your business!

Nope. For example, I was an AU on a Platinum card in the past and when I applied for it in April I got the new cardmember and bumped bonus of 100k. You should be good to go!

You can get 50 extra if you want (for a total of 225k MR)

1). 75k for open Amex Gold Premier ID:5985 (sign up bonus)

2). 10k for each additional AU ID:5721 (sign up AU)

3). 10k for 15 transaction (Up to 50K) ID:6664 (incentivize for use your card)

4). 10k once aditional AU spends $1.000 in 3 months ID:6815 (incentivize for AU use their card)

Just out of curiosity, how well do amex memb rewards points transfer to say American or Starwood and at what ratios? I saw that it’s 1000 memb reward points = 330 SPG points. Doesn’t seem so great.

They don’t transfer to AA and I don’t recommend Starwood transfers. You can transfer to BA (often at a significant bonus) and book AA Saaver flights via BA. I’d be a little more tactful. You don’t want them to think you are taking advantage or gaming the system. I’d just call and ask them to confirm Bonus ID XYZ is eligible for your account and ask them to notate it just in case the points don’t post. I did both the bump and 50k bonus with the same friendly rep and she had no issues confirming both. When you get a good rep (which is most of the time) they are usually very eager to please you since charge card holders are premium customers for amex.

BA miles are absolutely not the same, but if you read closely, I said you can use BA for AA SAAVER flights. Any Saaver level AA award can be booked with BA miles, even if it doesn’t show on ba.com

But the respresentative is telling me that bonus id 5985 doesn’t exist. They need a reservation # to honor any promotions. Please help. How can I get my 75k? Also, who should I speak to? Thanks.

I have an existing rewards gold card and not the premier. Do you know if I would be entitled to the bonus?

I got the PRG card last week got the 75k bonus, called a few minutes ago and got denied for the 6664 code, she said I wasn’t targeted. I’ll try again in about an hour and try code 6661. Haven’t tried the 50k for adding additional cardholders though.

Really, how are they making money? Giving everyone 75+50=125K bonus points will cost AMEX roughly $1,250. If folks spend $50K on the card that’s another 50K points (or more) costing AMEX roughly another $500. So they are out roughly $1,750. If they generate 2% in net revenue from the $50K spend that’s only $1000. I’m guessing they might break even after $75-100K of spend. I doubt any of us spend that kind of money on these cards.

What is the minimum credit score to be approved for either card?

Apply thru TPG links, receive approval email 3-5 hours later, wait 24-48 for full account details to post into Membership Rewards CSR systems, then call MR number and request codes. No need to wait for card to arrive. Promo to add Authorized Users at risk since applied after 8/10/11, others promo codes should be OK

I want to get in on all this MR goodness, but my next full churn date is 8/20 (when I’ll be re-eligible to apply for the AA business card). I just applied for two chase cards last week (to take advantage of the southwest deal, and also to bundle in an extra chase application). I know that AMEX often catches on quickly and re-trains their reps to ask for invitation codes so I’m worried that when I apply for this on the 20th it may be too late to get all these promos.

my plan is similar but a bit different. My husband got the premier b/c he gases the cars and buys groceries (where the points are). I use Platinum to book travel for us b/c I like the perks. I got the Sapphire for the points but will use it for international travel due to lack of foreign fees. I just got the Starpoint Amex for everyday use b/c I understand that accrues points the fastest and can transfer with maximum flexibility. Also we’re buying as much as possible on our Amex cards thru the portal for maximum saving, and all cards are registered with US Airways dining program for accrual of points… I learned all this here in the last 2 months! that’s just what fits our needs — YMMV

Long time reader, i applied for the Amex PRG via your link 4 days ago (for the 15000 points)for both me and my partner. Waiting for the card, and will call in for the 75k bump using 6661.
There seem be conflicting views about the spend associated with that code tho – some say it is $1000 in the first 90 days, others say it is $2000.
Are you able to confirm what the spend requirement for 6661 is ( for the primary card holder)?

Got denied on the 6661 also, she said it was only for solicited members, I sent a message see if that works.

I called a few times and got so many different answers with regard to bonus ID 6664. First rep said it was a mistake. The second one said it was targeted. The third one said that since I did not make 15 transactions in July there is no way I can qualify for the bonus. She also said that it was for the period July-Oct. i.e. 4 months so no way this is broken to 10K each month. I guess YMMV

I just called for the 3rd time – no luck, HOWEVER the representative did tell me I was eligible for 25k for first purchase on my Platinum card (although I’d already received 75k).

The promo window for the additional 25k was early Jan-Feb 2011 – promo code 5710. The representative went ahead and manually credited 25k to my MR account – BOOM!

6661 is the bump to 75K..has nothing to do with adding additional user. If you already received a bump to 75K you are not going to get another bump for an additional user spending $1000. This is misinformation. I just spent 30 minutes talking with a rep and had them read me the promotions terms word for word.

I got 5721 applied on one card so that should net me 50k. I got 6664 applied on two cards that I’ve had pre-July so that should be 100k. I’m now trying 6661 on two cards – I’m not sure if this can be done for 5 add-on cards or not – that would be a cool 375k miles. If any of these work out, I’ll be super happy. If none of them do, I’ll move on. I’m not going to court. Amex has been generous enough as it is.

P.S. – I manage family accounts so that’s how I have multiple cards.

I’m tempted to sign up but want to clarify: Since I already have an Amex green, I can’t upgrade to Premier Gold and expect these bonuses because they’re restricted to first-time cardholders, which means if I’m aiming for these bonuses I’d need a totally new Amex account in addition to my current one, ending up with two separate Amex accounts. That right? If so, I’m hesitant. It’d mean paying both the green annual fees and the premier gold annual fee (after first year) in addition to having another credit line. Talk me into it though, please?!!! I’m just reluctant to have TWO personal Amex accounts. (Wouldn’t you always just use the Premier Gold card, leaving the green card to collect dust?)

I just called Amex and was able to use the bonus ID 6661 as well as 6664. Thats 125k MR points for a 5 minute call. I havent even received the card yet however the CSR said that she has put a note on my account and I WILL receive both the bonuses!! Thanks a lot TPG!!

@Lefoyerm, I don’t have any reason to just say that so people keep signing up for this bonus. I am not asking you to click on my link to apply for the card. Its a forum where I am letting people know that this offer is still valid. To answer your question, I applied for the card on 2nd August and got approved on 3rd. I got my card yesterday however, I was able to call the MR customer service even before that and was able to get them successfully apply both these bonus IDs on my account i.e. 6661 as well as 6664. I talked twice to the CSRs, once to get the bonus Id 6661 and then second time to get them to apply 6664.

In your original post you stated that you just called (like you called on the 12th). In your second post you stated that you got your card yesterday (the 12th), but called before the card arrived. That makes it seem like that you called before the 12th, which is what people were trying to figure out.

Also, I’m confused whether a person who just applied should wait to receive the card before calling or call at activation.

Does anyone know how exactly Amex defines a new card member? I have a Blue card that I don’t use but hate to cancel it because it has a huge limit and I don’t want my credit score to drop if I cancel. I also have a Corporate card which I believe is in my employer’s name only….both of our names are on the card but I don’t think my SSN is on it or it shows up on my credit history (but not 100% sure).

I really would like to get the PRG card but only want to do it if I can get a decent bonus, i.e. 75,000 or more. I called Amex twice, the first time they said it the that offer is only available to targeted individuals, the second time they said it is only for new card members. If I cancel my Blue card is there a waiting period until I am considered a new card member? I hope my corporate card doesn’t disqualify me.

The money you spend and people that put on credit, they use to invest in markets. Don’t forget there are also tons of people that will carry an actual balance. With the high interest rates, they’ll usually break even on those people in a year or 2.

I already have a Gold MR card (rec’d Spring 2010) and want to sign up for the Premier Rewards Gold card. If I went through with this, I really have no reason to keep the gold card and pay the annual fee for a lower card. If I cancel my standard gold card after being approved for the premier rewards, will my credit still show a continuous line of credit through Amex since spring of 2010 or will it show one line being canceled and a new one being opened in August of 2011?

I’d love to know the answer to this too. Anyone have input?

Quick thought: All the blogs I read post all-day about sign-up bonuses. However, I haven’t seen an article in my searches that talks about tips and timing for canceling cards. Any plan on a post about managing the number of cards you have and what is the best way to get rid of ones you don’t need?

I would wait until you get your card in a couple days and activate it and then call the number on the back. if they know you havent even gotten your card yet, theyll assume you werent targeted for the promotions. My advice is to wait it out- Friday was a crazy day with people getting denied, but it seems to have gotten better now that the hysteria has hopefully calmed down and the Amex agents are less stressed

Id just have them add one and then call at another time and date to have the other. They are combinable

Applied for the Premier Gold Reward card a few days ago. Was approved. It’s in the mail, and I just dialed the rewards service number and pressed 000 to talk to a real person right away. The first lady gladly gave me the 75k bonus after 1000 dollars spend. I tried for the 15 transactions in a month but she told me it was only for cards BEFORE July 1st, she was helpful but I decided to hang up and try again.

I tried again with the second lady and she said I was eligible for the 15 transactions (for 10,000) per MONTH (not billing cycle) up to 5 months.

If you don’t get the answer you’re hoping for the first time it doesn’t hurt to try calling again! I’m very pleased.

I too was just approved (2 days ago) and I just made two calls to receive all my points. I have several other American Express cards so I just gave them one of those numbers and they looked me up in the system.

On the first call I was able to get the 75,000 Bonus for 1000 spend. The first lady although helpful, did’t bite on the 15 transaction code, so I just hung up and called again. The next guy put the 15 transaction per month ( according to this rep) on my account.

Data point: current Platinum card holder (upgraded from regular Gold in May). Applied for and approved for PRG on Sunday.

Called on Monday morning to confirm codes were applied as I am currently travelling and won’t physically receive card for over 2 weeks.

1st call – Called in via MR # (1.800.297.3276) and used Platinum card to authenticate in the IVR. No luck, told codes can’t ever be applied once you’ve applied? Was very polite and thanked CSR for their time.

2nd call – Called in via MR # and did not authenticate in the IVR. Once with a rep I did provide my card number as I explained that I was a long-time card holder and wanted to insure my account was notated with bonus IDs since I wouldn’t be getting the card for a couple weeks. Explained I wanted the PRG for 3x bonus on air travel. Rep was super helpful and notated the account with both 6661 and 6664. Told me it would take 6-8 weeks for points to post once successfully completing the bonus requirements.

I’d say key is politeness, patience and perseverance. Also, for those that are interested I plan to keep both cards for a while and when done with my international travel I will either downgrade or cancel my Platinum card.

QUESTION: Do you know if cancelling original account on AMEX changes the age of account if other (but newer cards) are still open with them?

There does not seem to be a valid bonus ID (5721) for signing up additional cardholders for the US. When I called Amex phone number on the back of the card the first time, Membership Rewards said that the bonus code 5721 is for Argentina only. The second time I called, they said that bonus code 5721 is not valid for additional cardholder signup.

I called Amex MR three more times and got the same answer from all three different reps:

There can be only one bonus id promotion per card account.

So the idea that one can get several bonus id’s on one account is not working for anyone.
You cannot get both 6661 and 6664 on the same account. You can only get one or the other.

You may have supposedly gotten both 6661 and 6664, but when it comes time to look for your posted points, you most likely will get only one or the other.

Can someone tell me what is the best way to go about purchasing/swiping the card once even if its a penny just to get the 10k points. Would amazon be the best place? What item?

Applied for Premier Rewards a week ago. Called MR 800-297-3276. Asked for 6661, she said she noted it in my account and I am eligible. I need to call back in 8 weeks and they will give me the points.

I also asked about 6664 and she said that my card is already set up to receive this (???). She said just do the 15 transactions/month and the points will post in 6-8 weeks. I asked her to note that we had this conversation in my record – but according to her it will post automatically??!?

I’ve also tried to add 6664 to my Premier Rewards Gold Card with no success. I’ve called on 4 separate occasions and the reps (although friendly) do not add code 6664. They always respond back with, “Only one promotional code can be added to an account.”

I was accepted for this card last Friday (8/12/2011) and Called on Sunday (6/14/2011) to add 6661, which was added on the first call. I tried Monday and Tuesday to add 6664 but I did not get a CSR who was willing. This is my first AMEX Rewards Card, so I’m a completely new customer. Not sure what else there is to do.

My thinking is that the 6664 code will not be added no matter how many times you call. I’m still happy with the 75k bonus, but the additional 50k would have been awesome.

I’m with you. Can’t seem to get that 6664 code added on due to “only one promo code on the account”. I can only hope to just keep trying but I’m not sure if there is a magic thing to say to get the rep to oblige. I also had problems getting the 75k bonus added, but was able to after 5 calls. I am very friendly on the phone so I just don’t get it.

I just received my card today and called in for the 6661 code. After calling 2 additional times, neither rep would add the 6664 code. The last rep, who was very friendly, said that people have been told they’ll receive multiple codes but when the CSRs review the accounts to add points, they’ll only consider 1 sign-up code.

Can someone explain the difference to me between when a customer service rep “notes my account of the code” and when they actually “apply the code”. I was able to get two different CSR’s to “note” my account of the 75k bonus and the 10k per 15 transaction bonus. They said they couldn’t “apply” the promo until I achieved my end of the deal ($500k spend in 3mths for the 75k, and 15 transactions for the 10k per month). They said after I achieve that to call them to manually apply. Will the fact that my account is “noted” mean I am set? Or does it just mean someone “noted” it only for the next CSR to re-evaluate and “nix” it? Thanks

I hung and up and tried again a while later to find that the rep had put a note in my account saying i could only have one promo applied! Any suggestions on what I can do to work around this? I was wondering if there are any points bonuses for existing Premier Rewards Gold card members. I have been a member since December 2009 and only got the 15k startup points when I signed up for it.

Please let us know if there are any ways to get points for existing members, either to upgrade or to spend a certain amount (other than the standard 30k dollars for 15k points at year’s end)

No- I got both and I had another charge card. I’d try to just get the 75k bonus code added first.

Just (8/19/2011) had my account approved and noted for both promos 6661 (75k bonus MR) and 6664 (10k for 15 transactions). Looks like they are still active folks. As always, thanks TPG!!

Been trying the last couple days to get it applied. Keep getting told it doesn’t “stack” with a 75 or 100K promo 6661 or 6608. Maybe will try back after I have met the spending requirements on the other.

Can one apply through regular application (for 10K MR points only after first purchase), then spend $1000 and call MR to apply a 6661 code to get extra 65K MR points? If yes, than I can refer my wife for that card and earn 1oK MR points for referral.

Went through the link here, but when called for bonus 6661 and 6664, the rep has no ideas! She reiterates it’s only for 15k.

Received my card yesterday, called and confirmed the 75k bonus #6661 with no problems at all. Waiting to call back tomorrow to confirm #6664. Thanks TPG!

Ok, one more follow-up. Called again and got #6664 applied, 15x a month for 5 months and those 5 months have to occur before 11/2012.

The rep I had this time was extremely nice, so I tried to apply #5721 and can confirm it’s for Argentina only and they are aware that it’s a pretty popular code bouncing around the internet.

I received my card today, 08/22/11. I am a first time AmEx cardholder. The first CSR was not helpful at all and said as long as I was eligible, I would receive the points after the requirements were met. The second rep applied code 6661 to my account, read the terms of the bonus, and notated the account. I will try at a later date to add ID 6664.

Does anyone have a RSPV code to the promo? I’ve called Membership Rewards twice, and both reps stated that the promo 6664 is only by invite thru via mail offer. They both stated I would need a RSVP code to get the bonus. Please respond if you have such info, thanks!

I got my card, activated it and called MR. I asked for the 6661 bonus. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then came back online and told me I had to spend the $1000, get the miles (6 to 8 weeks later) and then call in and inquire about 6661 again. Should I call back and try to get another rep? Wait till tomorrow?

Just used Code 6661 this morning for a premier rewards gold card successfully. Sent a secure message saying: “I recently received my Premier Rewards Gold card and have decided to make it my primary credit card. However, I was recently made aware that at the time I signed up there was another offer (ID: 6661) that would have made me eligible for 75,000 MR points after spending $1,000. I feel a little short-changed with the 15,000 MR point offer I signed up for. I’ve already exceeded my $1,000 spend and will continue to use this as my primary card. Could you please apply offer code 6661 to my account.

Got the card. I’ve spoken to two different CSRs – each one viewed the 15 transactions/ month promotion as a sign-up bonus. In fact, the last one I spoke with didn’t even bother looking it up. Instead, he immediately noted that I received the 75k Bonus and said that I only receive one.

Should I keep calling?

I just applied for the card last Wednesday, got approved, received and activated the card today. Interesting thing, when I spoke with MR, the CSR told me that I had actually received a 50k bonus for signing up for the card. I used TPG’s link so I was sure I was getting the 15k only, but that was nice to know anyways! She was nice and looked up my account and found that I wasn’t actually targetted for the 75k but understood that I would want to receive the higher bonus. She only had me on hold for a minute while she looked and then bingo! She said as soon as I hit my spend requirement and paid the bill, the extra 25k would post on top of my 50k bonus for 75k total. All it took was 5 minutes and 6661 worked like a charm!

Next step, getting bonus 6664 applied tomorrow!

TPG and everyone else: After waiting about 10 days I finally received my card and called AMEX MR. The first lady totally blew me off and said straight out that I was not targeted. The second call was from a nicer lady that annotated my account that after spending $1000 and 8 weeks after that I should call back to see what they could do for me about applying bonus ID 6661 and 6664. TPG, I don’t know if I just blew an inquiry and waisted my time or if this is going to give me the 125,000 that I am after. TPG got his referral cause I used his link. I may have gotten screwed.

This took a couple phone calls but I finally bumped the bonus. My first call on 8/23, one day after activating my card, the rep immediately shut me down on 6661. I called back today, and the second rep told me to call the Membership Rewards program directly. She gave me that number, 800-297-3276, and the rep there heard me out, and put me on hold to investigate. She actually told me that my current offer was for 25k points after spending 1k in 3 months, whereas the link I applied through actually said 15k points, so that was a pleasant surprise. After putting me on old, she told me ID 6661 was only for customers with no previous Amex cards. She said I was ineligible because I had a Delta Amex and an SPG Amex. I said that I was only an additional cardholder on my mom’s Delta Amex, and that I’d gotten the SPG Amex AFTER my Gold card. She put me on hold again, then came back and said I could have 6661 for 75k points, but I’d need to call back in 6-8 weeks after getting my initial points. Hurrah!

The first representative I talked to said that I couldn’t get any points as I’m a current American Express cardholder. The second told me I had to meet the spend and that I had to call again and that they would then see if I could get the 75,000 points even though they doubted it because I’m already a current American Express cardmember. At this point, I don’t even know if I will get the 15,000 points. I hope I get something out of this new card:(

Just called today to add on 6664 code and was told it would be noted on my account but whether it went through was doubtful. The CSR mentioned that the system would only allow one to go through even though the account has both 6661 and 6664 noted. He then went on to say that even though you read on the internet that people are getting multiple bonuses, it isn’t really happening.
We’ll see I guess.

Just received my new card today and called AMEX to give bonus ID 6661. It worked! So happy to have an extra 50,000 points!!

i called in as an account manager for my wife’s new GOLD card:
had to pick 6661 or 6664 NOT both; of course I had to pick 6661

They denied me on my gold and platinum cards for 5721 although on the day i called in i was told i was eligible and the lady took down 4 AUs on both cards and said I cud add on one more to platinum for 45 dollars with 5 users.

the renege process is leaving me a very sour taste

I called twice today and was unable to get 6661 or 6664 applied. I was told 6661 is only available for new AmEx members. Even though my Gold Premier Rewards card is new I’ve had other AmEx’s for several years.

When I called Amex from my blue cash card they said to call Amex at 877-621-2639 . I gave the 6661 code. They said this has to be applied for on line via
americanexpress.com/applyprg.
When I went there it asked for a 14 digit offer code.

Activated the card today. They denied all of the bonus codes: 6661, 6664, 6939. I was only getting the 15K MR. I have a AMEX Blue card I use extensively for business (like 30K/month spending). I said if I could not get the 75K bump, I’m cancelling both. They denied. So I cancelled both cards. I’ll switch to my AARP Visa at 5% CB until Amex gets it right.

I opened my account on 8/22. I didn’t activate it until 9/2 because I was out of town. While activating it she told me my sign up bonus was 15,000 points. I asked if I could receive the 75,000 point signup bonus from code 6661. She asked where I heard about it, and I told her a friend told me. She said that I wasn’t targeted so I couldn’t get it. I asked about 6664, and she said I wasn’t targeted for that either. I thanked her, hung up, and called again. I said I just activated my card and that wanted to confirm that I would get the 75,000 bonus point sign up. The CSR asked for the code, and I gave him 6661. He said I wasn’t targeted, but that I would get 25,000 points after $1000 spend in 3 months. I was disappointed, but was glad I got the unexpected bump from 15,000 to 25,000 points. I gave up for the night.

After being out of town for the weekend, I called back tonight (9/5), and asked about the 75,000 point signup bonus. She asked for a code, and I gave her 6939 from David Luke’s post above, since 6661 hadn’t worked before. She had trouble finding it, and asked if I had another code, so I gave her 6661. She found that one, and asked when I had signed up for the card – in July or August. I told her I couldn’t remember exactly (because I couldn’t at the time), but that I had gotten it a few weeks ago, but had been out of town so I hadn’t activated it until 3 days ago. She said 6661 would work and the points would be added 6-8 weeks after I met the spend requirement. I asked her to note my account, and she started to. She asked if I saw a P-O-I-D (I think that’s what she called it) number, and I told her I didn’t. She said that was fine. I confirmed that she had noted my account, and that I needed to meet the spend requirement by 11/22, and that I should call back 6-8 weeks after I met the spend requirement to make sure the points posted. Hopefully, it all works.

I thought I was out of luck because I had waited too long, but the moral of the story (like everyone is saying) is to keep calling back. Hopefully, you’ll get that right CSR to make it happen.

Thanks David Luke for your detailed experience. Even though the extra 6939 code didn’t work for me, it was what encouraged me to call a 3rd time 3 days later to see if I could get the 75,000 bonus.

About a week after this I called and they said they would note 6661 on my account. I noticed today that I got the 15000 point bonus and then another 10,000 point bonus for $1,000 within 3 months. Looks like I’m just getting 25,000 miles.

Didn’t work. I wasn’t “targeted” for this offer…bummer.
