Amex is offering 5,000 Membership Rewards points if you spend $100 on Delta by October 31, 2011. I was not eligible for this as  Platinum Cardholder, but it seems like some Flyertalkers were, so I thought I’d share it. It only take a second to see if you are eligible, so I figured this was worth sharing since it’s a great promo. Click here to enroll – choose the middle box of registering by entering your login information (ignore the RSVP code). Let me know how it goes!

I have a corporate green card and was told it was ineligible (enrolled in Membership Rewards). I’ll call later and see if that will do it.

    Thanks for sharing though, Brian!

  • Carsten Varming

No love from AMEX. I hold the hilton cards and a gold premier rewards card.

  • Ken

  • Thegasguru

Rock for me. Why no love for those of us that hold the Platinum, Gold, Delta Reserve, and SPG cards? I mean…obviously I have love for them…

  • Jerry

  • Latimer

  • Anonymous

    amex plat not eligible

  • Vickc

PRG Amex was a no go.

  • Sfobuddy

I’m trying to figure out why a Plat and DL Gold card aren’t eligible? No luck here, but maybe some sweet talk would change that. Has anyone opted to call the number they listed?

  • pixel girl

PRG and Business Gold both not eligible.

  • Trevor H

And by targeted they meant it, apparently! Is anyone eligible for this thing? I saw it on FT a few days ago. It’s a no go for me – Amex Plat.

  • Dgitalia

My wife was able to register. Any ideas on how to maximize this promo. It appears that it is 5000 points for EACH $100 spend. Could be lucrative. Any thoughts pointsguy?

  • Ashley

No luck with corporate green card

  • Ashley

No luck with corporate green card

  • RB

Worked for me! Amex platinum card (personal not corporate).

  • Jon S

No luck for me – have a corporate green card and an SPG amex :(

  • KP

F U AMEX! Not eligible either and I hold AMEX Plat and Gold PR…

  • Danny

I have to say I’m extremely disappointed with AmEx. Maybe no one has informed them of this, but in the world we live in 2011 if you target an offer at people it *will* get out. This is like the third or fourth targeted offer that I’ve not been eligible for and each time the AmEx reps kindly informed me that they are just sure that at some point in the future there will be one I’m eligible for. This one in particular is angering as I make at least 10-20 purchases a year on Delta.

  • Ian

Not eligible. Hold Amex Plat and Amex DL Reserve.

  • Guest

Does buying DL flight gift certificates (they are avail only at an airport, evidently) count in this promotion?

  • Dgitalia

I am trying to figure this out as well. Please chime in if you know.

  • Jeff

Worked for me with Gold! Did I read the promo right. You get 5K for EACH 100.00 spend? No cap?

  • David

Not eligible with Amex Biz Gold Membership Rewards Card.

  • nsk

Did not work for me – Plat as add’l cardholder, DL Gold Skymiles on my own, Blue Cash on my own.

  • bender

After a call to the Platinum line AND the Gold Delta line the rep gave me 3,000 skymiles for my trouble. Couldn’t get the promo to register on my account but I guess 3k miles is still 3k miles.

Hey- if you weren’t “targeted” check out my newest post- I think we can all get at least 5,000 points (possibly for multiple purchases) for this- for all Delta purchases after 7/15/11

“This bonus points offer is only available with a minimum purchase of $100 for qualifying flights” Unless the purchase is categorized as a flight, I doubt it will get the bonus

  • sara

I called and the lady did not seem to know what I was talking about. She came back and said that I had to spend $100 on my Delta card to get the points. Now I am just confused.

  • k2o

No problem to register by calling the # on the back of my card and asking for the rewards center. The guy told me I had to use my Delta Am Ex, but I questioned earning MR points, so he checked again and said it is a Delta purchase on my Premier Rewards card. He made a ‘notation’ on my account and I am now registered. He told me to call after I make the purchase (s) to be sure I get the points posted. I thought I would try a flight cert first, even tho’ I have to buy at the airport, BUT it’s risk free (refundable).

  • Sean

Rock here. Via the webpage. Auto phone. Personal Call. Secure Message.

    This promo= FAIL

However, please enjoy the bonus points you receive from my application through your site. I hope it doesn’t make me ineligible for 6661. Any word there?

  • Brad

Does anyone have the rsvp code?

  • Diaworld

I’ve used this for fourteen $100 tix and the first four already posted. Thanks so much!

  • Flamingo

I purchased 6 Delta tickets through and got nothing.

Call AMEX MR and was told I need to purchase tickets through AMEX. Is that right?
