    Hi TPG,

I am not sure if you have a post somewhere earlier about this:
How do we use Delta air partners to book a ticket using Delta miles?

  • Jim Koenig

I wanted to get a award ticket on Delta Tpa/Mad.I did a search and found JFK/Mad for 100,000 miles in business. However when I added the Tpa/JFK segment it went to 200,000.So I called and asked if they could book the TPA/JFK in coach and the JFK/MAD in business.I could have booked these as two awards for 125,000.They could’nt understand that I had a problem with paying an extra 100,000 just for my TPA/JFK.How would you book this award? I tell you what I did, I called AC and booked First class Lufthansa for 100,000.(TPA/CLT-US ,CLT/MUC-LH , MUC/MAD-LH )
    Thanks Jim

My question, is why are you in Sitges Spain? (ie: is this a known place to visit?). I once went to Girona on a whim with Ryannair from London for $80 r/t ai, and I was shocked at how charming a city it was. I’m now convinced everywhere in Spain is awesome!

Unless you see the flights on the online search you have to call Delta. Tools such as KVS Tool (kvstool.com) or ExpertFlyer can help you find seats.

I personally use KVS tool ($75 per year for all alliances) and call and guide the Delta phone agent on a flight by flight basis. This works well for all partners except for Korean Air. You can only get their availability by calling Delta.

We like to travel as a family. Is there a way to accrue miles for the kids? We fly Delta for the majority of our trips.

    TPG,
I want to travel to SE Asia next summer using the BA miles and companion certificate. Is there any way to travel to SE Asia w/o going through London and avoid the large fuel surcharge/taxes etc.?

    TPG,
What should one charge utilities like Comcast to? Can you do mortgage payments? I have a British Airways Visa, Hyatt Visa, (thanks to you!) and Delta AmEx. I will be applying for Sapphire soon. Is there a way to double dip for points? I remember reading it somewhere but I can’t find the blog article…
