Tokyo Fare War: $590-$700 Total Roundtrip From Many US Cities

There seems to be a fare war happening on US to Tokyo routes. I see all-in roundtrip fares for about $700 for JFK/WAS/DTW/DFW/LAX and more to Tokyo (Narita).

There’s a lot of availability from now until April 1. Check out the fares for your city and take a quick trip to Japan. I’m considering spring break in Tokyo!

    I also found the same prices around $700 from TUL- NRT on United, Continental, AA. Unfortunately Delta is a whopping ~$1400 :( ..

    On the subject of Tokyo travel, I’ve had the most unpleasant conversations with the Diamond Desk at Delta over getting a refund for my upcoming flight given that they’re now offering refunds due to the earthquake/tsunamis/nuclear radiation etc. Apparently, since I am only flying through Tokyo and not going there as a final destination ( I am headed to Singapore), they are not going to issue me a refund and I have to change my dates (but without a change fee.) I tried to change the date online and of course they tacked on the fee. I called the Diamond Desk and the woman I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about, INSISTING that my flight from Atlanta was nonstop to Singapore with no stop in Tokyo–I’d like to see that happen!!! When I called again I was informed that they didnt have the latest bulletins and I should do everything online. What service. I sent in a complaint and we’ll see what happens.
