Okay, just kidding, but I thought I’d point out that Delta is very friendly towards the booze-lovin’ crowd! Not only is there unlimited free sauce in the lounges, but you also get 4+ drink coupons with Medallion membership so you can enjoy complimentary beverages even when you have to sit in coach.
The “Have One on Us” program includes a free cocktail, beer, wine, or non-perishable snack as long as you print your boarding pass at home. Definitely a nice way to say, “Hope you enjoy coach because we gave out too many frivolous MQMs last year due to silly Amex promos and credit card deals!”
In any case, I’m hoping not to use my coupon today since I’m currently number 2 in line for 14 open first class seats. However, it’s the JFK-LAX route and ANYTHING and everything can happen, especially with this weather situation. I’m prepared with my exit row aisle and if the upgrade comes through … all the better.
I’m just looking forward to getting out of snow-blown NY and enjoying a quick weekend in warm LA.
