Starwood is known for giving year-end gifts to their Platinum guests. Several years ago, it was a 50% off award coupon, which was an incredible points-saving value. Last year it was luggage tags, which I thought were cheap, but better than nothing. This year, they are giving out hardcover image books. You can choose a Starwood pre-made version, which pictures from their top properties. OR you can upload your images and create your own.
I like the latter option, especially since I’ve had a really interesting travel year (Seychelles, Paris, Madrid, London, Dublin, Dominica, St. Thomas, Grenada, Puerto Rico, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, Las Vegas, Maine, Fire Island, Boston, Pittsburgh, Provincetown, Philadelphia, Ashville and ending the year in Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, Punta del Este and Buenos Aires).
Travel is what I love, and while I would have LOVED a free night at a Starwood hotel, I definitely appreciate the thoughtfulness of this gift and won’t look a gift horse in the mouse.
