Accor Hotel Group  is a 2,000 hotel (twice as many as Starwood) international chain that includes brands like Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure, Adagio, ibis, all seasons and Thalassa sea & spa. While their North American presence is limited, they have a huge amount of European properties, so if you are staying at one of their hotels, you might as well sign up for for their loyalty program A-Club.

They are also offering mid-tier elite status if you sign up and use promo code CMBANKACLUB. I just did it and my account instantly showed Gold status.

The benefits of Gold status are:

With 30 nights or 10,000 A|Club points.
- 75% A|Club points bonus for every stay
Exclusive benefits at Sofitel*, Pullman and MGallery hotels.
- Welcome drink and gift
- A room ALWAYS AVAILABLE if you reserve at least 5 days before your arrival.
- Room upgrade**
- Late check-out up to 4:00 pm**

The Code AMEXSING10 is currently working to go straight to Gold when joining A-Club (Oct 2011)

Gold status is useless for Aclub, they won’t even give u an upgrade even if the whole hotel is empty :(

  • Alex

Free platinume status :) still active! take a screen shot to be sure. Worked for me last week!

  • Joel

    What code did you use?

  • the_prof

A-Club is the worst hotel points programme I’ve come across. You get next to no benefits compared with most other programmes, and I worked myself up to Platinum over a period of time. On top of that, the customer service you receive is extremely poor – I found it almost impossible to redeem any points with any of their partners. The best they could offer me for my inconvenience (and inability to spend my points) was my points back. Great! Not only have I got to find one of their sub-par hotels to stay in to spend the damn things, but I only get 40 euro off the price! Best I can suggest is don’t stay in Accor hotels in the first place.
