I guess their servers are overloaded having to reaccomodate thousands of passengers whose travel was disrupted by “Snowmageddon 2010″. However, no other airlines frequent flyer site is down, so not sure what the issue is at Delta.
When I try to log-in from a number of different account, I get :
“SkyMiles
We are unable to log you into your account at this time. You can continue to shop and book a trip, but you cannot access your account or redeem an award ticket at this time.
Please try to log in again in a few minutes.”
Kind of unacceptable, if you ask me! The last time I didn’t have access to my SkyMiles account was during the merger, when they merged the Northwest and Delta frequent flyer accounts. I was okay with it because it was planned and the information was back up in a matter of hours. I know technology is not predictable, but I hope Delta can get a grip on what is happening, so it doesn’t happen again. Luckily I’m not traveling today, but if I would be angry if I needed miles to book a flight this morning and the system was down.
I know I am probably overreacting, but not having access to my frequent flyer miles is like taking the pipe away from a crack addict. Things are gonna get ugly soon if they don’t fix this soon!
