Plug in Jan/Feb 2011 dates and see what happens from your home city. When you get a price, its in NZ dollars, so go to xe.com for an exchange rate.
I just priced out JFK-JNB Feb 15-22, 2011 and it came to 930 NZ Dollars, which equals $701. WOW. I have never seen a fare this low to JNB, so book ASAP if you want to go. Since South African Airways is a Star Alliance airline, these trips will earn you roughly 15,000 EQMs on Continental, 10,500 EQMs on United and around 8,000 US Airways. Plus you get to go to South Africa! You can also route to Capetown.
Tip of the hat to Dan’s Deals!
