I haven’t had the pleasure of going through a full-body scanner yet (avoided them at Logan by using a non-elite security line- the horror!), but I know my time is limited. I wanted to see how bad they really were, so I stumbled into this Jaunted article, which did a pretty good job giving the low down. Overall, I think they are creepy and annoying and I’m not totally sold they actually make us any safer.

Have you been through one yet? What’s your take?

I have been through the new machine twice now. To me, it seemed uninvasive and simple. I can certainly agree that I’m not sold on the promise of increased safety, though!
